From the book "Ghosts Across Kentucky"
Some of us were out messing around with gradestones one day. We'd heard of this gravestone that would not stand up, even after it had been braced. We asked a grave digger about this old gravestone and why he would never fix it so that it would stay up.
He said that they had tried for the longest time, using all kinds of methods. However, it always fell down after only a few days of standing erect. Once he told his wife about it, and she told him that in Scotland, where her ancestors were from, that a grave marker of a person who had commited suicide could never be made to stand up on its own accord.
I mean, man, we found that truly intresting! |
