Do You Trust Your Gut Insticts?.......Neesha |
I just sat here for the longest time thinking about this. I was reading a story on a different place on the net, and well, I sat back and really thought about this hard. How much do we trust our intstincts? This guy was riding in back of a friends truck, when it rolled. He stated that, "he had a bad feeling before he left", and soon after the truck rolled and he said, "it felt as if someone held him down to keep him from being thrown and rolled over by the truck" With time I have used this "gut instinct" more, and more often.
If I can't come to conclusion, and I have time I will sit with it, and for some reason I am rarely wrong when I do. What made me think more so about it, is GAWD..not a blessing..but friends will call me, or someone will ask my advise, they say they feel "spiritual around me" instead of giving them my thoughts, I will ask them, "well what is your "gut feeling" about it. The more I think about it, when they follow their own instincts, they make good choices. You can say I am spiritual I guess, because I do believe my "gaurdian Angels" do help me 'see'.
I don't go to church, I smoke cigs. and I 'swear' when It flows out.. sorry, but true..lol, but I know I am on the right track regardless..*smiles to self* :) It drove me right back here where all my dear friends are to ask you how you feel about it. I can go on about timeless events that accured too, but I will use one from my childhood.
I was about seven years old and we were camping, I slipped and fell in a raging river, with no one around, lighter than a feather it took off with me! 'Something' grabbed my arms and flung my arms out and out of no where there was a branch. I latched onto it like with amazing force, and was able to work my way out. Of course this wasn't a gut feeling, but I believe had I resisted that help, I would not be typing this to you. "Please if you have a story, would you share it with me? Thanks for listening.

Hi Neesha I am so glad your guardian angel was there, that day to help you before fell...Neesha...I have followed my instincts, all my life..and it has saved my life so many times..when I was 4 years old I was at a local swiming pool with my sisters, to cut the story short...my sisters lost me..and I feel in the deep end...I knew to this day I was drowning and about to die, when suddenly I felt someone push me right up to the top...no one was there when I got out..so to this day...I know for a fact that it was angel more to the story...but it's so long..And I have to admit myself..I don't go to church, I believe in God and Jesus and angels..but I pray at home.. I swear I smoke i do everything but i treat people with respect...I am human after all...Us humans are not perfect...Life is about learning and Yes I am very spiritual in more now than I have ever been...as I get older I found that my instincts have become much stronger...i love it..Great post Neesha...hugs |

I think I might follow my first instincts too much.. like when I broke my ankle recently.. I saw the snake, panicked and jumped into the water when I should've really been running the other way back up the hill.. *love and hugs* |

the main one I remember is when I let my 2 year old daughter (she is 13 now) go to the pool with my sister in law, her 8 year old son,her daughter who was an infant & her sister, well, I didn't know they were going to make her sit on the side of the pool, I thought they were going to take her in... when my sister in law turned her back, my daughter jumped in... I had said no from the beginning & they talked me in to letting her go.. I did find out later my sister in law could not swim... her sister jumped in after my daughter... another story... I worked with a lady, who reluctantly let her son go to the neighbor pool, I am not sure what exactly happened, the pool was not open but they were playing around it, he slipped & hit his head & fell in the pool, it took them a while to find him because the water was murky... her gut said no, but she gave in because he really wanted to go... I always follow my gut & have tried to teach my kids the same... great post Neesha! |

Oh wait..here's a story...my mother *utterly caring as you can tell* let me a FIVE year old..walk a mile to kindergarten school by myself every day..with the excuse we had only one car. I used to know where to turn when I saw a mailbox on the corner towards my school. On foggy day I didnt see it and wandered up and down the street crying my eyes out. A man in a big blue van stopped and tried to get me to get into the van saying he would take me to school...I kept crying and saying no..my mama wouldnt let me get into cars with strangers..and out of the fog this policeman came. He pointed me in the right direction. I was so scared of my mothers temper I wouldnt even get into the car with him..but even at that age I think God sent an angel in a uniform to make sure I wasnt kidnapped. Peacelove. CP. |

I believe this is true. I call it that little voice inside that says to do or not to do something. |

I have learned to use my gut instincts a lot since I moved. We live out in the middle of nowhere and driving home is tough with all the wildlife around. I have listened to my instincts enough to brake even before I see that deer jetting from the woods or slow way down around a corner for no reason then there be a skunk in the road. |

Koala you sound alot like me:) Thanks for sharing! Thanks Mercury, I agree! Bunches-o-honey, thats what I mean, if had I fought that..well you know, thanks for your story!:) Hi SugerBear:) Your story intriged me, have you noticed over time someone will say, "I cannot believ it, they were terrified of heights, water, flying, and thats just how they died!" Makes you think!! Oh CelticPrincess, I had the same thing happen to me!! I debated if I should use my example of two men, when I was around nine, they tried to lure me in their car with candy, I ran as fast as I could to a house and told them, they phoned the police. They found the two men a few minutes later. I don't know what happenend with them tho. Thanks for sharing!! Thanks WoodElf:) Hi Sparkler, I do the same thing. I will be driving somewhere I have drove a million times, driving a little faster than I should, I will feel that 'this time' I should go the limit, sure enough a cop will pass me, or be parked waiting for people like me! LOL..Thanks for sharing! |

Good post Neesha. I think I pretty much trust my gut feeling and I have had stories but cannot think of any right now. |
