My first ghost story

Most people that look for the truth about ghost have there own stories about what happened to them. I am no different. I spent most of my childhood in a house I swear is haunted to this day.

The House is located in Romulus Mi. I will not give the address because my father’s wife still lives in the house. Well she only live in a small part of the house now. The house was build in the early 40’s and rebuilt in the 70’s after a fire. It has 4 bedrooms a basement and a small room off to the side in the basement that was used to store canned goods and other food and household stuff. This little room was one of two places in the house that were really creepy. .

We moved into the house when I was very young. I was the 2nd oldest of 3 kids and I was given the room in the basement. It was about a week after we moved in that I started to notice strange things going on. My stuff would be moved from where I put it, the radio would come on in the middle of the night. Because my room was right across from the other areas in the basement including the little pantry room I could hear everything thing and everyone that was in there.

In the middle of the night I would hear someone in the pantry then hear the door open someone walk to my door and open it slightly. I even asked my parents if they were checking on me in the middle of the night to which they always answered no. Being the kid I was when this would happen I would hide my head under the covers. For years this is how I slept head under the covers never peeking out just staying as still as I could.

To give you an idea of what went on something would sit on the end of my bed and rock the bed. It would touch me on the shoulder, and hide my shoes from me. There were a lot of things that went on such as the big wheel driving itself at night up and down the drive way that everyone in the house heard. Or the voices in the basement that were so low they sounded like a whispers whisper. To this day things still happen in the house. Before my father passed away he had boarded off the little room and most of the basement but would never tell anyone why he did that. The only other odd thing my father did was not allow pictures to be taken in the basement, or the few that we did take he burnt them.

All I have ever found out about the house was that somewhere in the area a child died in a fire. It dose not point to the house itself so I can not be real sure if it was my father’s house or not.

When we do go back to the house this summer to get it ready to sell I will be taking some pictures of the basement as we reopen it up. Maybe we will find out what is really going on.. More to come >
